For generations, women have fought for basic rights. Although progress has been made over time, it’s clear we are not finished. One of the most provoking proof of all are the protest signs for women’s rights. Signs and placards from past decades carry the same messages as those seen today, because the core issues haven’t changed.
Signs of the Times highlighted this harsh reality. All across Sweden, OOH ads showed old protest signs side by side with new ones, carrying the exact same message. These ads lead to a website, where visitors found digitally restored protest signs from decades past with messages that still matter today. The vintage protest signs could be downloaded, printed and taken to marches. Old messages, still painfully relevant. A reminder of how far we still have to go, and a call to keep pushing forward.
